Hi there people, I'm spending my day at home today trying to upload as many videos I can to my channel. While surfing around, I discovered that my all-time favourite comedian, Goerge Carlin, has passed away earlier today at the age of 71. I was shocked when I heard the news and sadden because I could never get to hear more of his stand-up comedies ever again. Well, he was a great idol to everyone including me, and I certainly hope that he would rest in peace.
I wonder if he's anywhere near heaven or near hell, but well, nobody knows. I don't know either. But I certainly think that he has made a great contribution in his life time and it was his jokes that never fail to make my day. Laughter's the best medicine and he has certainly prolonged my life a little bit each time he made me laugh. George, you are, to me, the best comedian of all times. Thank you.
Once again, may you rest in peace...
Here are some of his videos in tribute to my idol, George Carlin.

I took a break today and went for my darling's cell group outing. She asked me to join her so, being as opened as I possibly could, I agreed. The outing took place at the East Coast beach where the water is always green and the sand is always brown. This is the beach which is so very unlike the ones near the coast of Cairns. Those beaches in Australia.. oh, how I missed those times.
Anyway, I got myself completely wet, all thanks to the games and the playful bunch of youths. However, enduring the wetness and discomfort was not much of an effort for me, but instead, I kind of enjoyed myself. It has been quite a long time since I played near the beach and perhaps, enjoy the cool breeze brushing across my face as I strolled along the coast. Today is the day I really took a complete break! That was what I suddenly realise as I came to think about it during my journey from home. No texts, no studies, no books, and no evolution. Just plain playing today. Very enjoyable indeed. I've never felt so free, especially from deep thoughts and those books.
I am now very tired, so I would be taking a rest for now... Will be back for updates.

I've been excercising for two days now, and I'm getting some weights today so that I could train my arms and body whenever I have the time. I'm lazy to hit the gym and I've not been exercising for a long long time. I guess I'm starting to rot a bit, and I won't let myself be so...
I will be taking a walk later and use some weights down at the stadium. What a great month for me to relax.
Science News UpdatesIn 1962 someone at the Genetics Institute in Pavia, Italy, turned up the temperature in an incubator holding fruit flies. When Ferruccio Ritossa, then a young geneticist, examined the cells of these “heat shocked” flies, he noticed that their chromosomes had puffed up at discrete locations. The puffy appearance was a known sign that genes were being activated in those regions to give rise to their encoded proteins, so those sites of activity became known as the heat shock loci.
The effect was reproducible but initially considered to be unique to the fruit fly. It took another 15 years before the proteins generated when these chromosome puffs appear were detected in mammals and other forms of life. In what is certainly among the most absorbing stories in contemporary biology, heat shock proteins (HSPs) have since been recognized as occupying a central role in all life--not just at the level of cells but of organisms and whole populations. Scientists have confirmed for the first time that an important component of early genetic material which has been found in meteorite fragments is extraterrestrial in origin, in a paper published on June 15, 2008. [

Counselling Psychology UpdatesIn this study, the authors investigated the extent to which factor and spatial structures of leisure interests (a) are similar to or distinct from the structure of vocational interests and (b) differ across 3 cohorts: college students (M-sub(age) = 19.6 years, SD = 1.23), working-age adults (M-sub(age) = 29.7, SD = 1.18), and retirees (M-sub(age) = 72.3 years, SD = 5.40). Factor analytic, multidimensional scaling, and covariance structure modeling strategies were used to assess the structure of leisure interests as measured with the Leisure Interest Questionnaire (J. C. Hansen, 1998). Only partial convergence was found for the structure of leisure interests with J. L. Holland's (1985) model of vocational interest structure, suggesting that researchers should be cautious about using vocational interests as markers for leisure interests. However, the similarity in structure of interests across the three samples was greater than hypothesized. Implications for research on leisure interests and for counseling practice are discussed. Some updates so far...
My exam is over. I'm finally discharged from the academic asylum and no longer studying so hard until the outbreak of another examanoia. That's it, I'm done for this semester. I'm still tired but nonetheless, I will be taking more rests from now on to regain my energy.
My blog has changed its image and I've given some thought about providing space for both my personal affairs and my personal thoughts. Therefore, I've placed an extension to my blog for me to voice my thoughts, separated from those of my personal affairs and updates.
If you wish to view my updates and also to check out how I'm doing so far, you can simply click on "events" at the left hand side of the blog menu. If you wish to read the thoughts I've written (which were usually in essay form), you can simply click on "thoughts" at the left hand side of the menu as well. I want to make a effort to separate my thoughts and my daily updates because I feel that I've not been writing much about my personal life as compared to what exactly went on in my mind. So, in order to bring back the blog I used to own, I decided to make an extension where my thoughts will be written whenever I have the time.
Feel free to check out my blog's new updates. From now on, this main site will consist mainly on my life's events.
