It is national day today. But I'm not celebrating it at all. For it has nothing to do with me. So what if the nation (the imagined community of the "people") is now independent? So what if there is a parade going on with psychological defense inputed into those ignorant or rather, passive audiences? I'm spending my day going out on a Double Date, with Sean and his girlfriend together with my girlfriend and I. We had a great time together... at least, it's better than viewing the parade. My guess was that it would be a boring one.
Ah well... here are the pictures taken during the outing.

Hope you guyz have enjoyed your National Day celebrations... for we were just there for the fireworks. Even during the time when the National Anthem was being played, people were all trying to squeeze out of the crowd while the policemen had no choice but to handle the crowd right away and couldn't afford to stand still for the Anthem.
Frankly, no one even bothered about standing still for the Anthem or singing to it. We're just there for the fireworks. HAHAHA... pathetic right? This is being Singaporean. Purposeful, objective and competitive, all at the expense of patriotism. Yes. I'll be the first to run when my country is at war. LOLX Ask any typical Singaporean and they'll tell you this. Nobody dies for the country already... Even if we are fighting in a war against our enemies, we are dying to protect our families and love ones instead. NOT THE BLOODY FARKING COUNTRY!!! WE DON'T DIE FOR ANY FARKING POLITICIAN OR NATION ALLEGIANCE. As long as our familes are safe that's about it.
Nationhood, patriotism... all are such a waste of time and resource.
