I'm back from lesson, and had some brief supper with my friends at Starbucks. Great time. I just checked my email and someone actually mailed me my results for the memory test I took last Friday.
Basically I volunteered to participate in a Psychology experiment designed by some Honour-year (4th year) students. It was my very first time participating in experiments and it was certainly a very fruitful experience for me. I know that there are many of you people out there who have never participated in any Psychology surveys or experiments. Many Singaporeans from various backgrounds would think that it doesn't benefit them if they reveal their particulars or selves when participating in ethical surveys or time-consuming experiments. I can only say that the experience is truly fruitful and enriching. It gives you added knowledge of that subject based on what you have experienced after the whole procedure.
This test is a memory test with several independent variables based upon the contexts themselves. I cannot reveal the whole procedure of the experiment I took part over here for it will affect the results of the entire study. Instead, I shall reveal my results (not the original results), but in lay-man's term (based on total scores and all).
So, conclusively, I scored 103 out of 120 word-pairs, which gives me about 85 to 86 percent of the total score. Actually, according to the researcher, I did pretty well for the memory test. Woot~! What a compliment!
Well, at least right now, I know where to study, how to study and under what circumstances and contexts should I memorise my notes. HAHAHA..
